Change of Pace
I’ve just sent out a message to my Patreon backers, but I figure it’s important to say it here, too: after recalculating what my work is worth at a suitable rate for the present day, I realized that I was doing three times as much work as my Patreon is paying for.
The only reasonable course of action is to cut back to encoding one word a month as lace and a needlework chart, so that’s what I’m regretfully doing, starting in April.
I know the feeling! If Patreon still demands people log into Paypal from Patreon, well, it is a lot of trouble to close all other tabs, change the password, open Patreon, log into Paypal, authorize a payment, close Paypal, close Patreon, reopen Paypal, change the password…I’m not sure whether Ko-fi does that now. When I moved to Ko-fi from Patreon it didn’t.
