Some mitts and the charted designs I used, part one

I improvised some fingerless mitts for myself using my own stitch patterns because I needed warm hands and wanted to try the charted designs together. I’m not going to be publishing the pattern, but I thought you might like to know which charts I combined.

The two I combined on the back are the Weave charted design and Kind excerpt, but with dark and light reversed. I know it’s not always easy to do that while knitting, so I’ve included both charts below.

I’m very happy with the yarn. It’s Kelbourne Woolens Camper in meadow heather and grey heather.

The palms use a different pair of charted designs:

The back (and more public) side of the mitts. The top part of the pattern is a more ornate design, while the bottom is repeated pixelated circles with plus signs in the middles. The mitts are sage green and light grey. All the edges are in sage green ribbing.
  • In the written instructions, color A is the light squares from the charts, and color B is the dark.
  • Designers, please feel free to use these in your patterns (no need to ask). I’d like credit but won’t be offended if people don’t give it.
  • My blog posts and stitch patterns are supported by subscriptions on Patreon or donations to my Paypal tip jar in the sidebar. If you appreciate my work, please consider helping out. Thanks!

  • This is the stitch pattern at the bottom of the mitts.
  • The Kind excerpt is a multiple of 6+1 stitches and 10 rounds.
  • If combining this with the Weave design below, make sure to end with a row 10 so that it will flow nicely. If you need this chart to be a multiple of 10 + 5 rounds, start with a round 6.
